Andrey Rubtsov was born in Moscow. He graduated with top honors from the Royal Academy of Music.

His pieces have been performed in more than 60 countries from Malaysia to Bermuda. He composed a chamber ballet for the Bolshoi Theatre project, his woodwind quintet has become a standard repertoire piece for already more than 50 quintets all over the world including the Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet. Andrey got several commissions from the Russian National Orchestra and State Chamber Orchestra of Russia, Violin Concerto was performed by Julia Fischer with Academy of St Martin in the Fields as well as String of Bayerischen Rundfunks.

PROMETHEUS. WAY OF FIRE

Novosibirsk State Puppet Theatre has announced the upcoming show 'Prometheus. Way of Fire' featuring Andrey's songs and music. This is the second collaboration with this theatre to be ready the upcoming Autumn.

IMPERIAL ORCHESTRA

Andrey is arranging and orchestrating 'Cinema Medley 3', a new symphonic show for the leading Russian pop orchestra - Imperial Orchestra, to be premiered in June 2025 in TsSKA Stadium and go on tour later.

CRAZY IN LOVE

Andrey was invited to be a part of creative team behind Moscow's upcoming musical 'Crazy in Love' in Vegas City Hall based on Basta's song to be premiered in October of 2025. Andrey will be responsible for arrangements and live performers.
